It’s obvious that Richlands, Virginia, residents were ready for “Any Meal. Any Time.” as the newest Huddle House restaurant opened with record-breaking sales for its first week.
Operated by Richlands resident Travis Hackworth, the new Huddle House franchise partner said he’s thrilled to bring the iconic family restaurant to his hometown. Hackworth attributes the record opening to the community’s need for a restaurant with the menu variety and quality offered by Huddle House.
“As we saw in our first week, there was a need in Richlands for a friendly, comfortable gathering place for friends and families in our community,” said Hackworth, owner of several businesses in Richlands and Southwest Virginia. “Friends and neighbors were craving something new and the Huddle House menu has delivered just that.”
Hackworth said the official grand opening celebration for the Richlands Huddle House will take place in September.
Located at 2611 Front St., the Richlands Huddle House restaurant reflects the 51-year-old chain’s new look and branding. The location seats up to 117 guests and is open Sunday – Thursday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and open 24-hours on Friday and Saturday.
Huddle House does not release exact sales figures of its individual restaurants, but CEO Michael Abt said that Richlands easily surpassed opening sales for any new restaurant in the chain’s history.
“There is an inviting community in Richlands that we are thrilled to serve,” Abt said. “As we continue to expand our presence across the country, we recognize that communities like Richlands, Virginia, are where we want to develop our brand.”
