Huddle House continued its aggressive expansion during the first three months of the year, opening four new restaurants and signing four franchise agreements representing additional locations to be opened by the end of the year.
New restaurants opened in Vernon, Texas, Mount Vernon, Ill., Hahira, Ga., and Winfield, Ala., at a pace of one every other week from the end of February through March.
The new franchise agreements will add restaurants in East Orange, N.J., Marion, Ill., Newport News, Va., and Warrior, Ala.
Known for serving “Any Meal. Any Time.” Huddle House finished the quarter with well over 400 restaurants open or under development in 21 states.
Earlier this year, Huddle House announced plans to accelerate its pace of growth over the next three years. The growth will be accomplished primarily through franchising by both single-unit and multi-unit investors in a range of market sizes, including urban areas, small towns, travel centers and convenience sites. In addition, Huddle House is offering incentives to new franchisees who take over and remodel existing stores.
“As we expected, our low investment compared to industry averages combined with an exceptional average unit sales volume is attracting both experienced restaurant operators and those who are new to the restaurant industry,” said Jonathan Benjamin, Huddle House Chief Development Officer. “And we expect that demand to continue growing.”
Typically open 24-hours, Huddle House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. The menu offers a mix of Southern inspired comfort food, including signature Big House breakfasts, crispy hash browns, creamy grits, golden waffles and fluffy omelets, all made to order. Other favorites include Big Bold Burgers, Big House sandwich platters, country fried steak with green beans and marinated grilled chicken with sweet potato fries.
The core values on which Huddle House was founded – serving quality food in a warm, friendly environment that brings the community together – remain intact today.
