Staff at Cash Converters are preparing for a surge in DIY sales as homeowners are making the most of the four day Easter weekend to tackle the list of jobs to do around the house.

Last year, the company – which is the UK’s largest second hand retailer, saw a dramatic peak in sales as customers came in to buy tools to help them decorate their homes, tidy up their garden and fix their furniture.

Bank holiday weekends are a notorious time for people to get their teeth into DIY, with past figures revealing that 45% of Britons will spend the extra time making improvements to their homes.[1]
