Franchise specialist solicitors Owen White have announced their continued sponsorship of the upcoming British Franchise Association’s Women in Franchising Event.
The event, to be held on Thursday 17 November 2016 at Savill Court Hotel, Windsor, will be attended by women from across the United Kingdom who either are involved in the franchise sector or who are interested in learning more about how to franchise a business.
The day will consist of a variety of business related presentations from women in franchising. The key note speaker for the event will be ex RAF fast-jet pilot Mandy Hickson, who will be discussing the importance of ‘debriefing’ in business, something used on a daily basis in the military but often overlooked in civilian working life.
Owen White, who have sponsored the event every year since its launch, will be sending guests home with an aviation style bag, which head of franchising Jane Masih hopes delegates will find useful and a nice keepsake of the day.
Jane said, ‘As one of the leading franchise solicitors in the UK we are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring the bfa’s Women in Franchising event again this year. Women are natural networkers and an event like this plays to our best ‘soft’ skills of communication and collaboration. Last year’s event was incredibly useful and has quickly become the ‘Must Attend’ event of the year for women in franchising; I would recommend any woman who is already in the sector, or who would like to know more about franchising, to come along, they can be sure of a vibrant, friendly day packed with information and talks relevant to all businesses.’
Jane is a board member of the Bfa and serves on the Finance and General Purposes committee. She was recently named as one of the leading individuals in franchising, in the latest Legal 500 and Chambers Guides. In 2014 Jane received the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Women in Franchising’ award from EWIF.
