The newest member of the COCA Restaurants family is located in Aeon Binh Tan mall, one of the city’s largest modern lifestyle retail centres, adding to the brand’s existing line-up restaurants in Hung Vuong Plaza – District 5, CT Plaza Airport, and Vincom Centre B.
The décor is light, colourful and fun, with a unique interactive fresh market concept that highlights the locally sourced fresh vegetables and carefully selected meats and seafood on the menu. COCA’s famous and much lauded Tom Yum stock for hotpot remains central to the flavours along with the unique COCA dipping sauce, a secret recipe for three generations.
In order to offer Vietnamese diners something exotic but at the same time quintessentially local, the chefs at COCA have introduced a special pork bone hotpot broth that will only be served in Vietnam.
Enhancing the dining experience even further, the new COCA in Aeon Bihh Tan presents a variety of appetizers and cooked dishes to compliment the restaurant chain’s legendary family dining experience. These include popular delicacies like Durian seafood rolls, wok fried prawns with salty egg yolk and free range drunken chicken, or simple dishes like Wonton noodles, COCA stir-fried vermicelli with seafood and crispy pork belly with rice or noodles. The menu also features a choice of genuine Thai favorites that celebrate the brand’s heritage from Bangkok.
The launch is part of a wider expansion strategy in the booming Southeast Asian country which will see more COCA Restaurants opening over the next five years to extend the brand’s leadership in the premium hot-pot dining market.
“We are delighted to announce this further growth and to introduce a new twist to the concept of Coca Restaurants’ brand in Vietnam,” said brand franchise owner, Managing Director Trevor MacKenzie of COCA and Mango Tree Restaurants Worldwide. “We have enjoyed seven years of success here, despite some challenging times, by offering a premium culinary experience to diners in key urban centres such as Hanoi, Danang and Hue and we look forward to expanding our reach with this new exciting concept.”
“We are constantly innovating while staying true to our core quality values, and we deliver far more than just food. It’s an experience that people can feel and relate to, creating a lasting memory that has kept diners coming back to COCA for 59 years.”
COCA Restaurants focus on top quality family dining with food made for sharing in venues designed as a place for multiple generations to get together, eat and discuss their plans, hopes and dreams. The new market concept particularly appeals to young families in Vietnam who are drawn by the fresh ingredients, variety of dishes, and relaxed, healthy dining experience.
Celebrity Thai chef Pitaya Phanphensophon is the son of COCA’s founder and his philosophy is the driving force behind the brand’s continued growth and success: “I never offer anything to our guests that I would not feed my own children”.
