Faraje Kharsa, iTAN Franchising’s founder and CEO, first immigrated to the United States as a teenager in hopes of creating a better life. Inspired by the American Dream of achieving success through hard work and persistence, Kharsa and his wife, Irina, took their first steps toward launching iTAN Franchising. They worked together to help build the first iTAN in 2001. They learned early on that the optimal way to generate predictable income and provide the best value to their growing client base was to create an EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) program; a membership business with multiple services suitable for everyone, from students to working professionals.

As brand recognition grew, the Kharsas knew iTAN could continue to set the bar for local tanning salons by providing a beautiful salon interior, high-end equipment, unbeatable customer service and well-priced memberships. Fellow entrepreneurs who sought a turn-key business concept shared their interest in becoming a part of the iTAN family, which launched the start of iTAN Franchising in 2009. iTAN continues to grow as both a tanning salon and the one-stop-shop for all things beauty and wellness throughout Southern California. Today, iTAN has expanded across four competitive markets: San Diego County, the Inland Empire, Orange County & Santa Clara County. The salons offer UV tanning services, spray tanning services, and self-administered spa treatments, creating a daily retreat that’s accessible for the masses. iTAN sets itself apart from the competition by providing a stellar salon experience in addition to the results-driven services offered. As iTAN continues to grow and evolve, it remains backwards compatible, with a constant reminder that it all started from a simple dream.

MARKETING

Grand opening plans are developed with recommended marketing channels to ensure your salon’s success from the day it opens. Ongoing marketing support for iTAN franchise locations is disseminated through high-impact direct response campaigns and full access is given to a toolbox of a variety of marketing creative.

TRAINING

All iTAN team members are trained through iTAN University, our specialized training program that includes a series of courses designed to educate key stakeholders on proven salon best practices to create optimal results. In addition, in-field salon visits are performed monthly to ensure quality control and assist with training on an as needed basis.

IT SUPPORT

Robust reporting features are available to franchise owners in addition to technical support through iTAN’s point-of-sale system and access to a digital resource center that houses all approved vendors and assets.

FRANCHISE SUPPORT

Support is provided from the time you sign your Franchise Agreement to completion of salon buildout. Ongoing customer care support is provided as well as operational support from the Franchise level.
