Wingstop Opens First of 50 Planned Restaurants in The Philippines

The new restaurant debuted at Regis Center, Katipinuan, in the largest and most populous city in Metro Manila, Quezon City.

“We are excited to partner with Mr. Walden Chu and his team to introduce Wingstop to the Philippines. This further expands our international presence to five countries supporting our vision of Wingstop as a billion dollar global brand,” said Charlie Morrison, President and CEO of Wingstop.

The opening is part of a large multi-unit development agreement with Wingstop Philippines, Inc. and underscores the rapid international expansion of the award-winning restaurant concept that now has more than 640 locations worldwide.

“We are all very excited to introduce the outstanding menu offerings of Wingstop to the Philippines and take the Wings experience in this country to a whole new level,” said Walden Chu, President of Wingstop Philippines. Additional locations in the country are already in development and the second and third restaurants will open soon.

The expansion is the latest in a series of international milestones for Wingstop, which also has restaurants open in Singapore, Russia and Mexico. The first location in the United Arab Emirates is scheduled to open later this year.

With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features wings sauced and tossed in 9 unique flavors including fan favorites Lemon Pepper, Louisiana Rub and Original Hot. The Philippines menu also offers hand-breaded chicken tenders with 6 mouth-watering dips to choose from, including Blue Cheese, Honey Mustard and BBQ.
