Leadership Management International (LMI), the number one people development organisation, has again been recognised as one of the world’s leading franchise businesses in the annual FD Top 100 Global Franchises list.
Sitting alongside such household names as McDonalds, Hilton Hotels, Marriot International, Hertz and Europcar, LMI appears at 53 this year, in the research-only based ranking of the world’s top 100 franchises.
Ray King, Director of LMI-UK commented: “This survey confirms not only the work we are doing to grow our brand, but the increasing importance placed on leadership development by organisations across the world.
“The survey ranks franchises by much more than just size and financial performance; it takes into account number of franchises globally, revenue, stability, growth, longevity and expansion rate, making the outcome as objective as possible.
“The list recognises that these top global franchises share a similar approach to business success across all sectors from fast food and cleaning to training and leadership development. This success is based on a well-defined business identity, a clear business plan, a commitment to training and support, sensitivity to environmental issues, combined with an ability to innovate and reflect changing social and economic conditions.
“Franchising is continuing to grow. And for good reason. It represents a great way for individuals to combine the drive and energy of the entrepreneur with the real-world business experience and expertise of the franchisor.
“I believe franchising offers individuals the best chance they have of owning and managing their own business. Buying into the brand, support, reputation and success of a franchise like LMI, compared to going it alone, with the research, development and start-up costs needed to create a business from scratch, clearly hands the advantage to the determined franchisee.
“More experienced individuals are realising this potential and in the UK we continue to grow our network of franchisees. Recent additions in Scotland and the South-west of England ensure no organisation is too far from the tailored services LMI-UK offers to help people exploit the potential within them, at every level.
“The rapidly growing market for leadership development in the UK, is being driven by more organisations recognising the leadership challenge to not only survive the current economic climate, but thrive. This ensures we have plenty of room and opportunity for those who want to run their own business and help develop the leaders of tomorrow.”
