From Russia with Love – Aberdeen Franchisee has Passion for Baguette Express

Julia Singer runs the highly successful Baguette Express franchise in Aberdeen, which has seen its revenues increase by an incredible 25% over the past year. Before joining the Baguette Express family Julia had worked as a sales and marketing manager for a large communications company in Russia.

“I chose Baguette Express because it was the biggest franchise opportunity in Aberdeen and I could see huge potential for this type of franchise in the city. When I met the franchise owners it was clear that they were dedicated to helping franchisees succeed in the business,” said Julia.

She added: “I was particularly impressed with the level of training. I attended an intensive course at the head office in Edinburgh to learn all aspects of the business. On opening day I was assigned an experienced franchisee who remained with me until I was happy and confident. Thereafter the support has been excellent with management only a phone call away if I need any assistance.”

A typical day for Julia starts at five in the morning ordering food, preparing food, customer service, working with staff, dealing with paperwork and maintaining hygiene levels. Julia puts much of her success down to recruiting the right staff: “Customer service is key for us. We aim to provide a fast, friendly service and we have a great team of people to help us deliver this. Our biggest challenge is beating the local competition, we can only do this by offering superb fresh food and outstanding customer service.”

“I would definitely recommend a Baguette Express franchise to anyone looking to start their own business but as with all businesses you have to commit to it 100% and work hard to make it a success,” concludes Julia
