Leading UK draining cleaning and drain maintenance firm Metro Rod celebrated a year of success for its growing business at the recent annual conference and awards ceremony for its franchise operators.
Peter Molloy, commercial sales director, said Metro Rod performance had been strong in all areas and provided a solid platform to further improve the business.
Delegates from all over the country heard that Metro Rod had invested £1 million over the past nine months in upgrading systems and technology, as well as recruiting and developing some of the best engineers.
Staff at Workington-based Metro Rod (Cumbria) – a franchise serving the county of Cumbria – were among those celebrating after winning two prestigious national awards.
Metro Rod (Cumbria) was named franchise of the year and also won an award for largest commercial growth in Metro Rod’s annual awards ceremony.
Winner of the best commercial growth award for the south of the country was the London East Central franchise and the award for the most customer commendations went to Metro Rod (London Central).
Best customer service was awarded to Metro Rod (Coventry & Leicester) which returned an outstanding record of a 97 percent success rate on customer service level agreements during 2014.
The best marketing award went to Jo Yates and the mid-Lancs marketing team, whilst engineer of the year went to Alan Wheatley form Metro Rod (Nottingham & Derby).
Metro Rod (Hull, Lincolnshire & Peterborough) celebrated with two awards for ‘the biggest contribution to the enhancement of Metro Rod’ – which was also won by Metro Rod (Manchester South & Central) – and ‘technical innovator’ of the year.
Metro Rod has more than 40 regional drain cleaning service centres and is a UK leader in drain cleaning and drain maintenance.
