A North Wales business that offers bespoke fire and security services to businesses across the UK has secured a six-figure finance package from HSBC to help it grow its successful franchise model.
Jackson Fire & Security, which was founded by Steve Jackson more than 25 years ago, currently has five franchisees based in the Wirral, Liverpool, Leeds, Cambridge and Warrington, with another one due to begin operation in January 2017. The funding package, which is made up of a series of working capital facilities, will help the business attract up to 12 new franchisees a year and recruit up to 20 new members of staff in the next 12 months.
The facilities will enable Jackson Fire & Security to attend trade shows, import more products and equipment from overseas suppliers and invest in a new customer relationship management (CRM) system.

The bank also offers prospective franchisees their own bespoke finance packages to help them get their own businesses off the ground and continue operating successfully. We’re an ambitious company and, with the bank’s help, we’re hoping to bring another 12 franchisees on board each year.”
Martin Lyons, HSBC’s Area Director in North and Mid-Wales, said: “Jackson Fire & Security has been operating successfully for more than 25 years but it has only been in the last three years that its franchise model has been rolled out. In order to continue growing the franchise business, the company required a flexible finance package that would allow it get in front of new franchisees and customers, which we were able to put in place in a short period of time. As a result, the business is already in talks with a number of possible new partners.”
Jackson Fire & Security offers a wide variety of services including emergency lighting, fire alarm solutions and CCTV for businesses ranging from blue chip manufacturers and large University estates to local shops and public houses.
