Leading greeting card publisher and franchisor, Card Connection has announced Daryl Perkins, has purchased the additional franchise territory of Hull. Daryl who won the Company’s Franchisee of the Year award and also recently took over the Lincoln territory will now ‘greet’ around 90 new retail customers in Hull, as well as his established customer base in Nottingham, Grantham and the surrounding areas.

Darren Hawkins, regional sales manager, Card Connection comments: “Daryl is pulling out all the stops to build his franchise business. His ambition, enthusiasm and energy set him apart. As well as the new accounts taken on through acquisition, he has also worked tirelessly to increase sales within his existing base of customers, whether it be adding additional space, analysing sales trends and re-planning displays accordingly, upgrading old fixtures to new and adding our new point of sale to add impact and theatre to attract customers.

“From a staffing point of view, Daryl has also taken on a new merchandiser,” continues Hawkins. “Former Card Connection franchisee, Charlie Huggard, moved areas and so we are delighted to welcome him back to Card Connection family as Daryl’s already fully trained, part-time merchandiser! Daryl also employs a warehouse person to ensure the greetings cards are picked and packed correctly, ready for deliveries.

“Daryl and his team will now deliver Card Connection’s quality greeting card ranges, including the best-selling licenced Disney designs and the ever popular, super-cute character Boofle to well over 300 retailers. As well as independent retailers they will supply Card Connection National retail accounts such as Costcutter, WH Smiths Motorway Services, NISA, BP and Spar.”
