Signarama, the world’s largest sign franchise, provides a full range of comprehensive sign and graphic services to both the private and commercial segments of the community. Each and every Signarama store features trained specialists who understand the unique advertising and marketing needs of today’s constantly evolving market and can offer impactful solutions from digital signs to vehicle wraps, banners, monument, neon, LED and pylon signs.
Signarama is part of a successful system of business-to-business franchise brands and development services under United Franchise Group, the Global Leader for Entrepreneurs. As part of the $49-billion-plus worldwide sign market, Signarama has been at the forefront of the sign industry for more than two decades, providing cost-effective advertising and branding solutions for companies.
The Signarama brand was founded in 1986 by Ray Titus and his father, franchising pioneer, Roy Titus. Because of their experience in the printing industry, the father and son were familiar with the sign industry and realized the need for a more efficient way to create and sell impactful signs.
By taking sign production from industrial facilities and warehouses to a clean, accessible retail space, Titus instantly transformed sign buying into an easier, more pleasant experience. The first store opened in Farmingdale, N.Y., and became an instant success, followed by a second location in North Palm Beach, Fla., less than a year later.
Signarama was recently ranked 53rd on Franchise Direct’s Top 100 Global Franchises. Of all sign stores combined internationally, Signarama makes up 80 percent of the sign franchise market.
Approaching 900 locations in more than 62 countries, both domestic and international growth continues to be a focus for Signarama. Markets across the country are being targeted for domestic growth. Signarama expects to open 160 new locations worldwide and 100 in the U.S. by the end of 2016, reaching 1,200 worldwide locations by the end of 2017.
The initial investment for a Signarama franchise location is $40,000-$45,000 with a total investment of $165,000 to $170,000, including a $44,500 franchise fee. Royalties are six percent. There is an additional contribution of $500 monthly to a national marketing fund, which also includes ongoing local online marketing and e-commerce capability.
